Who remembers Tumblr?

I have to admit that I came to Tumblr towards the end of its reign as the place to post comic books. At one time from what I’ve heard it was the place to find new and cool comics. By the time I got there most of the people posting their new and cool comics had moved to other places on the internet. There’s still stuff going on there, but you don’t see much direction pointed to it anymore.

And I have to admit that after a brief flurry of posting there I moved away to other homes. I still have/had my account and once in a blue moon I would post something. It was a place I would even forget to post when I was making a barrage of posts to all my social media about whatever new project I was working on.

Don’t ask me why but in the past week I ended up back on Tumblr. And I created a community (I guess on Facebook you might call them groups) called Creating Comics. It’s purpose it to talk about creating comics. I created it to be a group of like minded people to chat about how they create comics and any tips they can offer. Also for those newbies that are looking for a place to go to maybe get some answers or some tips on what to do, I’m hoping this will be a good place.

Most of what I post there will probably be posts I’ve made here, but it’s all going to be in one place, just about creating comics. And if you’re reading this and you’re a comic creator come check us out and leave some of your words of wisdoms. I know what I first started trying to write comics I would have killed to have a place that offered any tips or help about writing comics. I had no idea how to make a script. I didn’t know anything. I’m hoping here you can at least find enough to help you get started.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there are no wrong ways to write, it’s whatever works for you. My script looks different from this person’s script and their script probably looks different than that person’s script. Whatever works for you and your collaborators is what’s right.
